~ Sow Seeds whether you feel it or not

I guess this saying sort of sums up where I am today. It is heading up to post time and to put it bluntly I feel dry, I have not even a hint of an inspiration but sometimes we all have to plough on even when we are not sure what we should be doing, or in my case, what to write about.
So, then, my subject must be, do it as if you do know what you doing even when you don’t.  Something like this used to be a suggested way to try out Jesus many years ago the suggestion was to let Him prove Himself in your life by acting as if you were a Christian.  I cannot remember how successful it was but I guess it may have worked in some sort of try before you buy scheme.
What is different from that scheme is that you and I have bought the whole program.  We already know that Jesus is the real deal.  We know what it cost God to provide a way for us to have a life in Him.  When we hit that proverbial brick wall or get stuck in that dry ravine, we know what we need to do but not how to do it.  This is the time when we need to say I know who I have believed, and I know what he want us to do, and then to dig in our heels and pray.  “I don’t know how this is going to work out but I am trusting You to honour yourself in what I am about to do.”
When it is all said and done our lives as Christians, or Jesus Followers, this means only so much in our own strength and initiative.  Where it really matters is when He is our strength, our inspiration, where He is our all in all.  Then He is the one who directs our individual lives, inspires our endeavours and enables us, when we feel unable.
It sounds so simple doesn’t it, just following our Main Man in our mundane everyday life.  But this is the lie that many of us have been sold, we are not intended to have anything less than an extraordinary life, empowered by Holy Spirit to stand out to those around us.  The Gospels are full of references to victorious life, to a life that is full, even to a live of power.  Over the years these verses have been watered down by our opposer to make us no freer than those he calls his own, and yet Jesus the Christ who called us brothers has defeated him comprehensively.
We have been given all the authority that Jesus had, to the extent that He said that we, His followers, would do “greater things” than He ever did during His ministry. This is the promise that we have, sin is forgiven, the devil defeated, and God has declared His love for us, as a result of these statements we have “hope” that has a guarantee and we have been empowered to live a life beyond the normal.
I guess that it really does sound way beyond imagining especially when we allow ourselves to buy into the worries of life, but this is down to us, these times happen when we take our focus from our Enabler and listen to a deceitful disabler.  It seems a shame that we can allow things to get us under their influence. Remember always that God has our interest at heart, He wants us to be ambassadors for Christ Jesus and that He will be with us every minute of our grand adventure of faith.
The wonder of it is that for nearly 2000 years One Man has inspired a community of faith to prevail against all sort of opposition against all odds.  So can we pick up the mantle of living for Him in a way that makes a difference for those who are not of the community of faith.  I think He has just proved His support to me, and you have just read it to His glory I believe.
